Design Process

Initial Consultation & Site Analysis:
This is where we meet on-site to discuss your ideas, budget, review portfolio projects, design fees, and get to know one another. We’ll also begin the site analysis, which may include taking measurements and assessing existing conditions. For more complex projects, a separate, follow-up site analysis visit might be necessary.

Concept Development:
We translate the vision and the site analysis into a preliminary design concept. This includes scaled plans showing the layout of key features (e.g., patios, plantings, water features) and may be supplemented with 3D renderings or sketches to visualize certain concepts. This stage focuses on the overall design direction and allows for feedback before we move into detailed planning. We’ll also discuss budget to determine the best approach for your project, whether that involves phasing or a complete installation, balancing your priorities with practical considerations.

Design Refinement & Contract Review:
Based on your feedback on the concept plan, we’ll refine the design, creating detailed plans and specifications. This is also when we finalize the contract, including firm pricing, and discuss the project timeline.” This clarifies that the design is finalized before construction begins.

Construction:
We’ll order materials and schedule the project, providing you with an estimated start timeframe. While various circumstances can sometimes shift start dates, we’ll keep you informed of any changes. Our trusted contractors will install your landscape according to the approved plans, and we’ll oversee the process to ensure quality and adherence to the design.

Final Walkthrough:
Once the installation is complete, we’ll conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything meets your expectations and address any questions or concerns. This is your opportunity to review the finished project before final payment.

Maintenance:
We’ll provide you with a comprehensive maintenance guide to help you keep your landscape looking its best. We’re also available for recommending ongoing maintenance services if you prefer.
